David leads the development and commercialization of solutions related to compliance and corporate governance matters, in particular products tailored to the needs of financial institutions.
David is a highly experienced international corporate lawyer with a background encompassing general counsel, compliance and transaction management roles in the London office of a global financial guaranty company group (Financial Security Assurance) following service as a corporate partner in the New York office of an international law firm (Sidley & Austin). He has substantial experience with corporate governance work, including board advisory, risk management and regulatory compliance services (UK, US and elsewhere), as well as broad transaction experience, including banking and commercial finance, project and infrastructure finance, securities and structured finance, mergers and acquisitions and work-outs. His sectoral experience includes financial services (banking and insurance) and financing transactions in numerous industries, including transportation, power and energy, healthcare, utilities, real estate, telecommunications and high tech. Much of his work has had a cross-border character, including work in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.
David received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1981 and his B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan in 1978. He is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars and a qualified UK solicitor (solicitor qualification obtained after study at the BPP Law School in London). He holds dual US and UK citizenship and is currently a resident of the UK.
