Case Study-ASTAR

A*Star, responsible for coordinating all of the Singapore government’s Research & Development, wanted to move their offline training on Contract Law into an online environment to help expand their training efforts and increase the awareness of the importance of these areas.

Business challenge

The key challenge for A*Star was to take legal subjects that were complex and put them in a framework that would allow researchers to be able to learn effectively in an online environment.

Solution

A*Star picked Knowledge Platform based on its Instructional Design experience, past success in working on complex subject matters, along with existing subject matter expertise in legal issues and intellectual property. The courses use animation, audio, interactive graphics, and case studies to both capture the attention of the learner and make it easier to understand. Knowledge Platform utilized a unique story-based approach to help bring the learning into a more day-to-day work context for the researchers and scientists.
